Very good food, tastes way better than any other fast fisheries. Always packed but definitely worth the wait in line

Oceana Fisheries in Strand is one of those local gems that you simply can’t go wrong with if you’re in the mood for proper, fresh seafood. It has that authentic old-school fishery feel – nothing pretentious or overdone – just straightforward, good-quality food served in generous portions at very reasonable prices. We ordered the calamari and chips with tartar sauce, and it was honestly one of the best meals we’ve had in a while. The calamari was cooked to perfection – tender, not rubbery, with a light crispness on the outside that gave it the perfect bite. The chips were golden, fresh, and not oily, complementing the calamari beautifully. The tartar sauce tied everything together, giving a creamy tang that elevated the dish even more. You can tell they know their seafood and prepare it with care. What really stands out about Oceana is the consistency. So many fisheries can be hit or miss, but here you get a sense that they’ve mastered the classics and take pride in what they serve. It’s not a fine dining setup, but it doesn’t need to be – it’s honest, hearty seafood that leaves you satisfied. The food is really delicious and well made. The staff unbelievably friendly and quite accommodating to orders and needs. I’m definitely coming back again here for another epic session. Just make sure you have time to wait a bit in case there is a lot of people in line. The wait is not that long but it is not very short. I’m not sure if you can order before; so maybe call and check how busy they are before you come. But otherwise good place.

Most delicious hake I've ever had. Calamari very tender and tasty. Massive portions. Excellent value for money.

The food is great as always. Been there twice and the slap chips is so amazing. The fish batter is so soft and I'm usually picky about fish bones, but you barely find any so they clean it pretty well. It does take some time to get your parcel but the steamy food is worth the wait.
